CHESTERTOWN, Md. - The St. Mary's College of Maryland women's swimming team (1-4) traveled to Washington College to take on the Shorewomen (2-4) on Friday (Nov. 15) evening in non-conference action. The Seahawks fell to the Shorewomen 166-92.

The Seahawks started the meet strong with a victory in the opening event. The quartet of Carolyn Sutton, Bailey Edgren, Christina Trnkus, and Brenna Litynski won the 200 Yard Medley Relay with a time of 1:56.56.

Next, Litynski captured a first-place finish in the 50 Yard Freestyle, swimming a time of 25.37. Litynski followed that performance by crossing the finish line first in the 100 Yard Freestyle with a time of 56.65.

Other notable finishes from the Seahawk swimmers included Elizabeth Johnson (2nd - 1,000 Yard Freestyle), Paige Adelsberger (3rd - 1,000 Yard Freestyle, 2nd - 500 Yard Freestyle), Lexi Efron (2nd - 200 Yard Freestyle), Sutton (2nd - 100 Yard Backstroke), Rileigh Krell (3rd - 100 Yard Backstroke, 2nd - 200 Yard Backstroke), Edgren (2nd - 100 Yard Breaststroke, 2nd - 200 Yard Breaststroke), and Trnkus (3rd - 100 Yard Butterfly).
