FREDERICK, Md. - St. Mary's College of Maryland women's soccer (2-3) fell to the Hood College Blazers (4-1) this afternoon (Sept. 14) while on the road. The Seahawks dropped the match of a final score of 1-0.

How It Happened
The Seahawks had no problem getting shots off during the first half of the match, recording ten shots compared to the Blazers' five. St. Mary's College impressively had eight total shooters this afternoon, but unfortunately could not find the back of the net.
Among the eight shooters was junior midfielder, Emmey German who tallied seven total shots this evening. Sophomore forward, Megan Tazza was the team's second-leading shooter of the afternoon with three shots. Maddie Schwarz, Alecia Rotunno, and Ines Garofolo each had two shots apiece, while Gabby Manning, Ashley Yurich, and Erin Moran all shot once.
The lone goal of the match was scored in the 84th minute by Hood College.
Inside the Box Score
German remains the Seahawks' top shooter with 11 shots this season thus far. Tazza, Garofolo, and Rotunno continue to be huge scoring threats for St. Mary's as well.
First-year goalkeeper, Audra Haines has 16 total saves this season so far, and maintains a .696 save percentage.
