York, Pa. – Sophomore defender Virginia Williams (Lexington, Va./Rockbridge County) picked up her first career player of the week honor as Williams was tabbed as the Capital Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.  The honor was announced Monday afternoon by CAC commissioner Tom Byrnes.

Williams put the clamps on the reigning CAC Player of the Year, holding Stevenson University's Stephanie Eyler to just two shots, in a 2-0 Seahawk road victory.  The victory was the team's first win of the season.

St. Mary's returns to action Wednesday, September 22 as the Seahawks welcome No. 7 Johns Hopkins University to Seahawk Stadium for non-conference action at 4:00 pm.
