Seahawk Men's Cross Country Concludes 2018 Season at NCAA Regional

Center Valley, Pa. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland men's cross country team finished their 2018 campaign at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional hosted by DeSales University. St. Mary's finished 40th in the 52-team field Saturday afternoon.

The Basics:

  • Place – 40th of 52 / 1,139 points
  • Location – Center Valley, Pa. – DeSales University

St. Mary's Top 5 Finishers:

  • First-year Tyler Wilson (Silver Spring, Md./Einstein) wrapped up his fall as the top Seahawk by coming in 171st place out of 357 runners as Wilson finished the 8K course with a time of 29:15.
  • Senior captain James Judlick (Baltimore, Md./Perry Hall) concluded his Seahawk career by finishing second for the Seahawks with a time of 29:36 for 194th overall.
  • Junior Joseph McManus (Chevy Chase, Md./Bethesda Chevy Chase) ran a 30:32 for 239th overall as the No. 3 runner for St. Mary's.
  • Seniors Adam Scrivener (Prince Frederick, Md./Huntingtown) and Zack Walker (St. Leonard, Md./Calvert) finished their careers by rounding out the Seahawk top-five. Scrivener ran a 31:00 for 256th place while Walker clocked a 32:00 for a 290th-place finish.

Other Race Highlights

  • Harley Moyer of Washington & Jefferson College came in first overall with a time of 25:55.
  • No. 7 Carnegie Mellon University captured the team title with 76 total places.
  • Carnegie Mellon and No. 4 Haverford College, who finished second, both automatically qualified for the 2018 NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country Championships on November 17.
