Haussler Named CAC Defensive Player of the Week Again

Fredericksburg, Va. – Senior goalkeeper Zack Haussler (Woodbine, Md./Glenelg) picked up his second consecutive Capital Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week award for the week of October 2. This is Haussler's sixth career weekly honor.

The 6-0 goalkeeper was selected as the CAC Defensive Player of the Week for the second straight week after posting three saves in a 3-1 conference triumph over Frostburg State University this past Saturday. He notched a save percentage of .750 while allowing just one score in the win.

Haussler improved to 5-1 on the season and currently leads the CAC in save percentage (.826) and goals against average (0.67).

Among 200 Division III goalkeepers ranked, he owns the 40th-best goals against average while ranking 57th in save percentage and 66th with 3.0 shutouts.

The Seahawks (6-4-0, 2-0-0 CAC) will be back in action on Wednesday, October 4 when St. Mary's travels to the Eastern Shore to take on Salisbury University (5-6-0, 1-1-0 CAC) in a league tilt at 4:00 p.m.
