Laura Kruse has been on the St. Mary's coaching staff since the inaugural varsity season of men's and women's rowing in 2016-17. Kruse credits St. Mary's rowing for making her a stronger person both mentally and physically on and off the water. She is excited to get to continue to be a part of it all and to help current rowers reach their goals and to get faster.
She was a four-year member of the St. Mary's rowing club team, serving as its vice president as a senior during the 2015-16 season. Kruse earned three medals at the Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference (MARC) Championships - second in Novice 4+ (2013), second in Varsity 4+ (2014), and second in Club 8+ (2016).
Kruse graduated magna cum laude from St. Mary's in 2016 with a B.A. in economics and minors in English and mathematics. She was a member of the Omicron Delta Epsilon, the International Economics Honor Society, and was named a St. Mary's Scholar in Spring 2015 as well as Spring 2016. Kruse made the Dean's List every semester.
