  • Four Seahawks Land on All-CAC Second Team

    The St. Mary’s College of Maryland field hockey team picked up four spots on the 2019 All-Capital Athletic Conference Field Hockey Team, the league announced today (Nov. 7). Sophie Carlson, Kelbey Egerland, Celina Kaufman, and Meghan Ronan all earned Second Team honors.

  • Field Hockey Blanks Southern Virginia in CAC Tournament Quarterfinals

    The St. Mary’s College of Maryland field hockey team (13-4, 2-3 CAC) hosted the Southern Virginia University Knights (0-17, 0-5 CAC) in the Capital Athletic Conference Tournament quarterfinals on Saturday (Nov. 2) afternoon. The third seeded Seahawks blanked the sixth seeded Knights by an 8-0 final score. St. Mary’s College tallied their 13th win of the season, which is the most in program history.
  • Seahawks Edged by Captains in Final Regular Season Contest

    The St. Mary’s College of Maryland field hockey team (12-4, 2-3 CAC) hosted the visiting No. 13 Christopher Newport University Captains (13-4, 4-1 CAC) on Wednesday (Oct. 30) evening in Capital Athletic Conference action. The Seahawks were edged by the Captains 1-0 in their final regular season game of the season. St. Mary’s College officially locked up the No. 3 seed in the CAC Tournament and will host Southern Virginia on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 2:00 p.m.
  • Field Hockey Falls to Mary Washington In Final Seconds

    The St. Mary’s College of Maryland field hockey team (12-3, 2-2 CAC) hosted the visiting University of Mary Washington Eagles (6-10, 1-3 CAC) in Capital Athletic Conference action on Saturday (Oct. 26) afternoon. The Seahawks fell to the Eagles 2-1 due to a Mary Washington goal that was scored with 15 seconds remaining.
  • Seahawks Prevail Over Spartans in CAC Battle

    The St. Mary’s College of Maryland field hockey team (12-2, 2-1 CAC) prevailed over the York College Spartans (9-7, 2-1 CAC) in a Capital Athletic Conference battle on Wednesday (Oct. 23) evening. The Seahawks edged the Spartans 2-1.
  • Seahawks Top Knights in Convincing Fashion

    The St. Mary’s College of Maryland field hockey team (11-2, 1-1 CAC) traveled to Southern Virginia University (0-13, 0-2 CAC) to take on the Knights on Friday (Oct. 18) evening in Capital Athletic Conference action. The Seahawks defeated the Knights in convincing fashion with a final score of 8-0. The eight goals the Seahawks tallied tonight were the highest total since St. Mary’s College defeated Eastern Mennonite 10-1 on Sept. 26, 2015.
  • Field Hockey Drops CAC Contest to No. 3 Salisbury

    The St. Mary’s College of Maryland field hockey team (10-2, 0-1 CAC) opened up Capital Athletic Conference play against the No. 3 Salisbury University Sea Gulls (11-1, 1-0 CAC) on Saturday (Oct. 12) afternoon. The Seahawks fell to the Sea Gulls 2-0.
  • Seahawks Fall to Stevenson in First Setback of the Season

    The St. Mary’s College of Maryland field hockey team (10-1) traveled to Stevenson University (5-9) on Wednesday (Oct. 9) afternoon for non-conference play. The Seahawks fell to the Mustangs 1-0 for their first setback of the season.

    First year forward Celina Kaufman notched the game-winning goal in the 52nd minute of action on Wednesday (Sept. 11) evening to keep the St. Mary’s College of Maryland field hockey team (4-0) perfect on the season. Kaufman’s goal pushed the Seahawks to a 2-1 victory over the visiting Randolph-Macon College Yellow Jackets (2-2).

    On a historic day at St. Mary’s College with the dedication of Jamie L. Roberts Stadium, the Seahawk field hockey (3-0) team defeated Eastern Mennonite University (2-1) in convincing fashion on Saturday (Sept. 7) evening by a final score of 7-1.

    The St. Mary’s College of Maryland field hockey team (2-0) competed in their home opener in the completed Jamie L. Roberts Stadium on Wednesday (Sept. 4) evening and defeated the Bridgewater College Eagles (0-3) 2-0. Two first half goals from Meghan Ronan and Gabrielle Corder propelled the Seahawks to their victory over the Eagles.

    The St. Mary’s College of Maryland field hockey team (1-0) blew past the Goucher College Gophers (0-1) Friday (Aug. 30) afternoon by a final score of 4-0. Celina Kaufman found the back of the cage twice, while Veronic Maring and Meghan Ronan tallied one score each.
