Fredericksburg, Va. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland field hockey team picked up two spots on the 2018 All-Capital Athletic Conference Field Hockey Team as announced by Assistant Commissioner Tim Mowrer Friday morning. Sophomore captain Meghan Ronan (Odenton, Md./Arundel) and first-year Gabrielle Corder (Sudlersville, Md./Queen Anne's County) both earned second-team selections.
Ronan is garnering her first-ever all-conference honor after starting all 16 game for the Seahawks this season. She helped St. Mary's to a CAC third-best 1.76 team goals against average and two shutouts. The 5-5 defender also contributed offensively with a goal and two assists for four points.

Ronan also scored the team's first goal in a 3-2 loss to Shenandoah University (Sep. 19).
Corder is also picking up her first all-star award after the 5-4 midfielder made an immediate impact in her rookie campaign. Starting all 16 contests, she led the Seahawks with 11 points and four goals plus a team second-best three assists. Corder tallied a season-best four points on a goal and season-best two assists in a 3-1 road win over Frostburg State University on October 14.
