Chandler, Ariz. – St. Mary's College of Maryland field hockey senior Christy Bishop (Glenwood, Md./Glenelg) was selected to play in the 2014 Victory Sports Tours/National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III Senior Game. Bishop was one of 59 athletes selected to participate in this year's Senior Game which will be held on Saturday, November 22nd at Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Virginia, at 4:00 p.m.
The 5-10 goalkeeper is one of five players representing the Capital Athletic Conference as Christopher Newport University's Allie Hackbarth and Belle Tunstall as well as Salisbury University's Mallory Elliott and Summer Washburn will also be playing in the Senior Game.
Bishop is just the sixth Seahawk field hockey player to be named to the Senior Game roster, joining an elite group of past all-region honorees (Lauriann Parker '13, Allie Skiest '11, Emily Smithson '09, Amy Skrickus '08, Melissa Moore '98).

Bishop notched career-bests of 1.35 GAA and three shutouts as a sophomore in 2012 while collecting a career-high 10 wins as a junior in 2013. This season, she registered a career-best .811 save percentage. On October 21st, Bishop tied a single-game record with 26 saves in a 4-3 double overtime loss at Christopher Newport.
She will leave the Seahawk field hockey program ranked in the top-five of several statistical categories. Bishop's 55 starts and 57 games played rank tops all-time while her 30 wins, 343 saves, and 1.86 GAA are second all-time.
