York, Pa. – Sophomore Brady Wolf (Reisterstown, Md./McDonogh School) is the first St. Mary's College of Maryland field hockey player this season to earn Capital Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors. Wolf garnered the award for the week ending October 5th as announced Monday afternoon by Assistant CAC Commissioner, Tim Mowrer.
Wolf picked up the player of the week award after leading the Seahawks (7-3, 1-0 CAC) to a convincing CAC-opening win over Frostburg State University in their only contest of the week. St. Mary's is currently in a three-way tie for the conference lead with No. 18 University of Mary Washington (9-3, 1-0 CAC) and York College of Pennsylvania (9-3, 1-0 CAC).
The 5-5 forward helped the Seahawks to their first CAC win of the season with a team-best four points on one goal and a career-best two assists, giving St. Mary's its eighth consecutive win over Frostburg State.
Wolf is tied for ninth in the conference with a team-best four assists. She is second on the squad with six goals and 16 points.
The Seahawks will be back in action this Saturday, October 11th as St. Mary's welcomes York to Seahawk Stadium for conference action at 1:00 p.m.
