St. Mary's Women's Cross Country Competes at Paul Short Run
Bethlehem, Pa. – Sophomore Keighly Bradbrook (Princeton Junction, N.J./West Windsor-Plainsboro South) finished 110th out of 335 runners to lead the St. Mary's College of Maryland women's cross country team in the White Race of the Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University Friday afternoon, as the team finished 29th out of 39 teams.
Bradbrook was the best on the day for the Seahawks and completed the 6K course in 25:55. Junior Katie Phipps (Severna Park, Md./Chesapeake) was next to cross the finish line in 26:11, 126th overall. A pair of first-year runners, Michelle DiMenna (Towson, Md./Notre Dame Prep) and Sylviann Houck (Harwood, Md./Southern), were the teams third- and fourth-place finishers at 26:41 (151st overall) and 26:57 (164th overall).
Rounding out the team's results were junior Margaret Lillie (Carrboro, N.C./Chapel Hill) and senior Kathleen Tatem (Kensington, Md./Bethesda-Chevy Chase), finishing in 27:07 (177th overall) and 27:19 (185th overall), respectively.
The Seahawks will return to action on Saturday, October 8 when they travel to the DeSales University Invitational in Center Valley, Pa. Race starts at 10:30 am.
