Seahawk Women's Tennis Named an ITA All-Academic Team
The St. Mary’s College of Maryland women’s tennis team earned Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Academic Team status for the third year in a row, being one of 53 Division III programs to do so for the 2009-10 season. The Seahawks also had eight players named as ITA Scholar-Athletes.

No. 16 University of Mary Washington picked up its second straight win with a 9-0 shutout of the St. Mary’s College of Maryland women’s tennis team Thursday afternoon. A bright spot for the Seahawks in the loss was the fact that they took 14 games from Mary Washington – a feat which has never happened during head coach Derek Sabedra’s four-year tenure.
