Litynski Takes First Overall in Day Two of CAC Championships

ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland Women's swimming team rolled into day two in the CAC Championships as they held their spot in third place overall with a total of 147 points.

  1. University of Mary Washington – 304
  2. York College of Pennsylvania - 291
  3. St. Mary's College of Maryland – 147
  4. Salisbury University – 116
  5. Frostburg State University – 71 

How It Happened 

- Brenna Litynski placed first in the 50-yard freestyle prelim on Friday morning by swimming a 24.48. Later, in the finals she would go on to top her prelim time by coming in at 24.42, which once again placed her in first place.

- Carolyn Sutton swam a 24.58 in the 50-yard freestyle final, which was good enough for fourth overall.

- In the 200-yard freestyle relay Litynski, Leila McCloskey, Hailley Baughman and Sutton placed third with a time of 1:39.37.

Up Next for the Seahawks

2/16 – 10:00 A.M. as the Seahawks will host day three of the CAC Championships.
