St. Mary's Women's Swimming Lands Four on 2017 All-CAC Team

York, Pa. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland women's swim team placed a pair of relays on the 2017 All-Capital Athletic Conference Women's Swim Team as announced Thursday morning by Assistant Commissioner Tim Mowrer.

First-year Carolyn Sutton (Laurel, Md./Laurel), sophomore Hailley Baughman (Lineboro, Md./Manchester Valley), and captains Rachel Sonnenberg (Derwood, Md./Magruder) and Lizzie Straathof (Bethesda, Md./Walter Johnson) swam to silver in both the 200 and 400 medley relays.

Straathof, who is graduating a year early, finishes her three-year career as a seven-time All-CAC honoree while Baughman now holds three career all-conference selections. Sonnenberg and Sutton are both first-time All-CAC recipients.

St. Mary's posted a 1-8 (0-5 CAC) overall record during the regular season and finished fourth at the 2017 CAC Women's Swimming Championships.
