Heyde Wraps Up Successful Trip to NCAAs
Knoxville, Tenn. – St. Mary's College of Maryland sophomore swimmer Kelly Heyde's (Wilton, Conn./Wilton) second consecutive appearance at the NCAA Division III Men's & Women's Swimming & Diving Championships came to an end Friday morning.
Heyde competed in her final event today, the 200 butterfly. She entered this morning's preliminaries seeded 19th in the event and finished the morning trials with a 22nd-place finish in 2:07.09. Today's finish was a five-spot improvement from last season's 27th-place finish in the same event.
The national championships are being held at the world-class Allan Jones Aquatic Center on the campus of the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and will wrap up tomorrow with the crowning of the men's and women's team champions.
