Complete Results

St. Mary's City, Md. - St. Mary's College of Maryland freshman Kelly Heyde (Wilton, Conn./Wilton) was selected as the Capital Athletic Conference Female Rookie of the Year while University of Mary Washington junior Sarah Crockett (Toano, Va./Lafayette) was named the CAC Female Swimmer of the Year.  Crockett became just the second swimmer in conference history to win seven gold medals, tying the mark set by two-time CAC Female Swimmer of the Year, Brie McDowell '09, at last year's championships.

Third-year Mary Washington head coach Matt Sellman nabbed his first career CAC Women's Swim Coach of the Year honor as Sellman mentored the Eagles to their 20th straight league crown with 926.5 points.  Mary Washington has captured all 20 CAC championship titles since the inception of the conference in 1991.

The host Seahawks finished second in the team standings for the third consecutive season with 628.5 points.

Crockett started the final day of competition with a CAC championship meet record and NCAA provisional time of 17:38.99 in the 1650 freestyle.  Her swim knocked off the oldest remaining meet record - the 14-year old mark of 17:43.18 set by Mary Washington's Eliza Barcus in 1996.

Junior Adriana Lesiuk (Bensalem, Pa./Nazareth) of Mary Washington collected an NCAA ‘B' cut and matched the CAC championship meet mark of 52.23 as Lesiuk captured the 100 freestyle.  Lesiuk equaled Crockett's 100 free performance from a year ago.

UMW sophomore Megan DeSmith (Bridgewater, Va./Turner Ashby) tallied a CAC championship meet record and NCAA provisional time of 2:23.74 to win the 200 breaststroke, breaking her own mark of 2:24.23 from last year.

The Eagle foursome of Lesiuk, freshman Cameron Figuers (Cary, N.C./Cardinal Gibbons), senior Nina Michelle Sawyer (Warrenton, Va./Liberty), and Crockett picked up a league championship meet record in the 400 free relay as well as an NCAA ‘B' cut of 3:31.42 to capture the event.  UMW displaced last year's meet record of 3:31.78 set by St. Mary's.

TEAM STANDINGS: 1. Mary Washington 926.5, 2. St. Mary's (Md.) 628.5, 3. Marymount (Va.) 470, 4. York (Pa.) 415, 5. Salisbury 362, 6. Gallaudet 151, 7. Hood 129.
