Seahawk Women Move into Second Following Day Two Action
St. Mary's City, Md. - Ten NCAA provisional times, six Capital Athletic Conference championship meet records and two NCAA automatic qualifying times were the highlights Saturday as the second day of the 2010 CAC Women's Swimming Championships wrapped up.
University of Mary Washington maintained its grasp on first place in the team standings with 639 points as the Eagles captured four of seven events. St. Mary's moved into second place with 417.5 points, nabbing gold-medal performances in the 400 individual medley and the 100 butterfly events.
St. Mary's freshman Kelly Heyde (Wilton, Conn./Wilton) registered her first championship meet record as Heyde won the 400 individual medley with an NCAA provisional time of 4:31.74, breaking Mary Washington Shannon Hutcherson's 17-year old mark of 4:37.24.
