Heyde Picks Up Second CAC Weekly Honor

York, Pa. - Kelly Heyde (Wilton, Conn./Wilton) of the St. Mary's College of Maryland women's swim team earned her second Capital Athletic Conference Women's Swimmer of the Week honor of the season for the week ending November 15 as announced by CAC commissioner, Tom Byrnes, Tuesday afternoon.

Heyde tallied three individual gold medals as St. Mary's (5-1) suffered its first loss of the season at Washington (Md.) College this past Saturday.

The 5-2 freshman opened up the meet with a first-place finish in the 200 individual medley, in which Heyde led a 1-2-3 Seahawk finish, claiming the event in 2:13.59.

Heyde then won the 100 butterfly in 59 seconds flat before touching the wall first in the 100 backstroke in 1:03.52.

Owning a 3-0 mark in the 200 IM in dual meet action, Heyde boasts the top times in the conference for the 200 IM, the 200 butterfly, and the 1000 freestyle.
