No. 20 Dickinson-St. Mary's Women's Soccer Match Suspended in 61st Minute
Carlisle, Pa. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland women's soccer team's match at No. 20 Dickinson College was suspended in the 61st minute because of lightning delays. Tomorrow, a decision will be made as to whether or not the contest will be rescheduled.
If the coaches agree to make up the game, it will start from the beginning. That means that Dickinson will lose the 1-0 lead that it held when the game was suspended.
If the decision is made not to reschedule, the game will be declared 'no contest' and per NCAA rules, all statistics for the match are expunged with the exception of conduct fouls and ejections.
St. Mary's (3-0) will return to action on Saturday, September 17 as the Seahawks open up Capital Athletic Conference action in Frederick, Md., taking on Hood College (1-2) at 1:00 pm.
