Fallon-Oben Picked as March Athlete of the Month
St. Mary's City, Md. – Nora Fallon-Oben (Silver Spring, Md./St. John's College [D.C.]) of the St. Mary's College of Maryland women's lacrosse team was recognized by the Department of Athletics and Recreation as the March Athlete of the Month for the first time in her career.
Enjoying her best season ever, the 5-8 senior attacker has helped
the Seahawks (4-7) navigate through a rough patch in their season
thus far, notching their first three wins of the season for a 3-6
record in March.
Fallon-Oben paced St. Mary's in March with 29 goals, 39 points and 11 caused turnovers while ranking second with 10 assists. She averaged 3.22 goals, 1.11 assists, and 4.33 points in nine games played. Fallon-Oben also added 16 ground balls and 11 draw controls.
She led the Seahawks to their second win of the season with career-highs of eight goals and 10 points in a 19-9 win over Virginia Wesleyan College on March 23. Her eight-goal performance matched a school single-game record for most goals in a game while Fallon-Oben's 10-point effort equaled a school single-game record for most points in a game. She also chipped in a career-high five ground balls.
Fallon-Oben tallied eight multiple-goal games while dishing out at least one assist in all but two contests.
