St. Mary's Receives IWLCA Team Community Awareness Award
The St. Mary’s College of Maryland women’s lacrosse team was awarded the 2010 Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association Division III Team Community Awareness Award at the annual IWLCA meetings over the weekend. The award recognizes the Seahawks for their hard work and dedication in the community during the 2009-10 academic year.

St. Mary's Women's Lacrosse Picks Up IWLCA Academic Honors: Branch, Bateman Named to Academic Honor Roll
The St. Mary’s College of Maryland women’s lacrosse team was one of 64 Division III institutions to garner academic squad honors from the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association while senior attacker Kelsey Branch and junior defender Elisa Bateman named to the academic honor roll.

The Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association honored 224 Division III student-athletes with a selection to one of the seven all-region squads for 2010 as announced Thursday afternoon. Senior Nora Fallon-Oben, first-year Lauriann Parker and junior Aubrey Mirkin represented St. Mary’s College of Maryland on the All-Chesapeake Region Women’s Lacrosse Teams.

The St. Mary's College of Maryland women's lacrosse team hosted their 2nd Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Game against No. 1 Salisbury and raised proceeds for Climb for Hope through pink t-shirt sales and a 50/50 raffle. Last season, St. Mary’s donated over $3700 to Climb for Hope (www.climbforhope.com).
