Zerhusen Named CAC Player-of-the-Week

St. Mary's City, Md. - For the second straight week, a St. Mary's College of Maryland women's lacrosse player has been selected as the Capital Athletic Conference Women's Lacrosse Player-of-the-Week as senior Allie Zerhusen (Cockeysville, Md.) earned the honor for the week ending March 8 as announced by conference commissioner, Tom Byrnes, Monday afternoon.

Zerhusen shared this week's honor with Salisbury University's sophomore midfielder Logan Bilderback who tallied career-high seven points in the second-ranked Sea Gulls' 21-9 victory over No. 11 Catholic University.

The 5-7, midfielder notched a career-high six goals, including the game-winner, in leading the 15th-ranked Seahawks to a 17-10 non-conference victory over Washington (Md.) College on March 5.

The Park School product ended the week with three goals and a helper in St. Mary's come-from-behind 11-10 win over McDaniel College on Sunday.  Zerhusen scored the game-winning goal with 28 seconds left in regulation.

The Seahawks (4-1) return to action tomorrow as St. Mary's hosts Roanoke College in non-conference action at 4:30 in Seahawk Stadium.
