Scott Named Co-CAC Player-of-the-Week

Capital Athletic Conference commissioner, Tom Byrnes, announced Monday afternoon the first CAC Women’s Basketball Player-of-the-Week of the 2008-09 season. Winning the first weekly award of the year was St. Mary’s College of Maryland’s senior Allie Scott and freshman Katie Wimmer of the University of Mary Washington.

Cherry Cove/Seahawk All-Tournament Team members, junior Ashley Watkins and freshman Libby Shober, helped the Susquehanna University women’s basketball team to a 62-55 victory over St. Mary’s College of Maryland to capture the 2008 Cherry Cove/Seahawk Tip-Off Tournament Sunday afternoon.
