Saint-Aubin Earns Second CAC Weekly Honor

York, Pa. - Stephanie Saint-Aubin (Bowie, Md./Elizabeth Seton) notched her second Capital Athletic Conference Player of the Week selection, picking up the honor for the week ending January 31 after helping the St. Mary's College of Maryland women's basketball team stay in the hunt for a playoff berth with three weeks left in the regular season.

Saint-Aubin averaged 28.0 points, 9.0 rebounds and 5.0 steals in two conference games, including a 65-63 win Saturday over Stevenson University that kept the Seahawks (6-13, 5-6 CAC) in strong position for a CAC tournament bid.

The senior guard was 18-for-26 from the field (69.2%) and 20-for-25 from the free throw line (80%) in the two contests.

Her best game was a 30-point, 12-rebound and six-steal outing in St. Mary's two-point road win at Stevenson that kept SMCM in fifth place with three weeks left in the regular season.

Saint-Aubin started the week with a game-high 26 points on 9-of-11 shooting and 8-of-9 from the charity stripe in the loss to No. 8/9 Marymount (Va.) University.  She added six rebounds and four steals as well.

She currently ranks second in the conference in scoring with 17.7 points per game and steals with a 3.1 average.  Saint-Aubin also owns the third-best field goal percentage at 50.6% while being sixth with a 70.2- free throw percentage and seventh with 8.8 rebounds per game.

The Seahawks will be back in action this Saturday, February 6 when St. Mary's travels to Fredericksburg, Va. to face University of Mary Washington in a league tilt at 1:00 pm.
