Scott Earns All-CAC Honors for Fourth Consecutive Year
York, Pa. - Senior Allie Scott (Laurel, Md.) was the only representative of the St. Mary's College of Maryland women's basketball team on the 2009 Capital Athletic Conference Women's Basketball All-Conference teams. Scott is garnering second team accolades for the fourth straight season.
The 5-10 forward led the team in scoring for the third time in her
career with 13.5 points per game which ranks sixth in the
conference. Scott was the team's leading
rebounder as well with a CAC ninth-best 7.8 average. She also
swatted away a team-best 14 shots.
Scott notched 21 games where she scored in twin figures, including four 20+ contests. She also hauled in double digits in rebounds eight times.
Scott finished her senior campaign ranked third in steals with 2.2 per game and 11th in free throw percentage (.684).
The Atholton HS product ended her career as the school's second all-time scorer with 1,421 points, while grabbing 823 career rebounds. Scott averaged 13.8 points and 8.0 rebounds for her career, while shooting 44.1 percent from the floor in 103 games with 102 starts.
St. Mary's finished the 2008-09 campaign with a 9-17 overall record, earning sixth in the conference standings with a 6-10 mark.
