Saint-Aubin Named CAC Player-of-the-Week
North Huntingdon, Pa. - Steph Saint-Aubin (Bowie, Md.) became the second St. Mary's College of Maryland women's basketball player to be named the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Women's Basketball Player-of-the-Week as Saint-Aubin earned the honor for the first time this season for the week ending February 24.
Saint-Aubin shares this week's CAC honor with York (Pa.) College's Keli Ward.
The 5-5, sophomore guard knocked down 11-of-16 field goal attempts en route to a game-high 27 points with six rebounds and seven steals in St. Mary's regular-season ending 79-71 win at Wesley College this past Saturday as the Seahawks clinched third in the final league standings and garnered the right to host a league quarterfinal contest against sixth-seeded Salisbury University on Tuesday at 6:00.
The Elizabeth Seton High School product is the team's leading scorer with 17.0 points per game, while pacing the squad with a .520 field goal percentage and 97 steals.
Saint-Aubin is currently ranked first in the CAC in steals, second in scoring, fourth in FG%, 11th in free throw percentage (.687), and 14th in rebounding (6.6 per game).
