  • Sailing Finishes Seventh at Coed National Championships, McCarthy and Boucher Pick Up Postseason Honors

    St. Mary’s College of Maryland sailing competed in the Gill College Sailing Coed National Championships on Thursday (May 30) and Friday (May 31) at the Sail Newport Sailing Center at Fort Adams. The Seahawks finished seventh in the 18 team field. In addition, Liam McCarthy and Leo Boucher were named Honorable Mention All-American skippers. McCarthy also picked up a major award, being named the Hobbs Sportsman of the Year, which recognizes a sailor whose spirit and attitude is notable both on and off the water.
  • Seahawk Sailing Advances to Gill College Sailing Coed National Championships Final

    St. Mary’s College of Maryland sailing competed in the semifinals of the Gill College Sailing Coed National Championships on Tuesday (May 28) and Wednesday (May 29) and captured a third place finish in the eastern semifinal. The competition has been narrowed down to the top 18 teams, who will advance to racing in the finals this morning out of host site, Sail Newport Sailing Center at Fort Adams.
  • Seahawk Sailing Finishes Ninth in Sperry Women’s National Championship

    St. Mary’s College of Maryland sailing competed in the Sperry Women’s National Championship on Thursday (May 23) and Friday (May 24) in Newport, Rhode Island. The Seahawks finished ninth overall, thanks to an eighth place finish in the A Division and an 11th place finish in the B Division.
  • Seahawk Sailing Advances to Sperry Women’s National Championship

    St. Mary’s College Sailing advanced to the Sperry Women’s National Championship that will take place today (May 23) and Friday (May 24) in Newport, Rhode Island. The Seahawks captured a sixth place finish in the Sperry Women’s Western Semifinal that took place on Tuesday (May 21) and Wednesday (May 22) to qualify for the championship.
  • St. Mary’s Sailing Finishes Second at Team Race Challenge

    The St. Mary’s College of Maryland sailing team traveled to Ithaca, New York on Saturday (Mar. 30) and competed in the Team Race Challenge. The Seahawks finished second with a 14-3 record on the day.
  • St. Mary’s College Sailing Has Strong Weekend Performance

    St. Mary’s College of Maryland sailing had a strong weekend performance in the St. Mary’s Women’s Interconference and at the Graham Hall Team Race on Saturday (Mar. 16) and Sunday (Mar. 17). The Seahawks finished seventh in the Graham Hall Team Race and 14th in the St. Mary’s Women’s Interconference.
