Seahawks Take Fourth at ICSA/Gill National Championship
Light air again foiled the sailing plans of the 18 schools that had trained and competed all year to be able to challenge for the 2010 ICSA/Gill National Championship taking place on Lake Mendota from June 1-3. Boston College captured its first-ever ICSA/Gill National Championship while defending champion, St. Mary's College of Maryland finished fourth.

St. Mary's Wins National Sailing Team Racing Championship
The top 14 schools in the nation were in America’s Heartland racing for the 2010 ICSA/APS Team Race National Championship title on Lake Mendota. For one team, St. Mary’s College of Maryland, it was a reversal of fortune from 2009 when the Seahawks lost this championship on a tie breaker, to come back and win this year’s contest on a tie break with the same team – Boston College.

No. 6 St. Mary’s Coed Notches Ninth at Danmark Trophy
The St. Mary’s College of Maryland coed sailing team placed ninth at the Danmark Trophy (October 3-4) hosted by the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, jumping up four spots from yesterday’s 13th-place finish. St. Mary’s totaled 299 points in 30 completed races, finishing behind No. 3 Roger Williams University.

No. 5 St. Mary’s Women Grabs Sixth at Finger Lakes Intersectional
The St. Mary’s College of Maryland sailing team finished in sixth place at the Women’s Finger Lakes Intersectional Regatta (October 3-4) hosted by Cornell University. St. Mary’s totaled 130 points in 24 completed races, finishing behind No. 2 Brown University.
