Seahawks Place Fifth at Navy Womens
Annapolis, Md. - The St. Mary's College of Maryland sailing team took fifth at the Navy Spring Women's Intersectional (March 14-15). The fourth-ranked Seahawks totaled 92 points in 14 completed races, just four points behind No. 6 Harvard University for fourth place.
Sophomore Megan Magill (San Diego, Calif.) skippered the A division boat to second place with crew Keisha Pearson (Sr./East Patchogue, N.Y.), tallying 34 points to finish two points behind Tufts University for first place.
In B division, junior skipper Sara Morgan Watters (Oxford, Md.) finished ninth with crew Meredith Powlison (Shelburne, Vt.), posting 58 points.
No. 1 College of Charleston won the Navy Women's Intersectional with 63 points as the Cougars placed second in the B division and third in the A division.
