Magill Nabs All-America Honors for Second Year in a Row

Sophomore skipper Megan Magill (San Diego, Calif.) was the lone representative for the St. Mary's College of Maryland women's sailing team on the 2009 Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) Women's All-America Team as announced by the ICSA Wednesday night.

Watters Kirkland Magill, one of the top 10 women skippers in the Middle Atlantic Intercollegiate Sailing Association (MAISA), was an honorable mention All-American as a freshman.  She earned All-MAISA honors as well this spring.

Joining Magill as an All-MAISA skipper were juniors Jesse Kirkland (Warwick, Bermuda) and Sara Morgan Watters (Oxford, Md.) and sophomore Michael Menninger (Newport Beach, Calif.), while junior Kelly Wilbur (Ipswich, Mass.) garnered All-MAISA honors at crew.

Menninger Wilbur St. Mary's will be wrapping up the 2008-09 campaign with competition in the ICSA Women's National Championship (May 25-27), ICSA/APS Team Racing National Championship (May 29-31), and the ICSA/Gill Dinghy National Championship (June 1-3).
