Four St. Mary’s Sailors Pick Up All-America Honors

Chamberlin Wilbur St. Mary's College of Maryland sailing team had senior team captain Jennifer Chamberlin (Alexandria, Va.) and junior Kelly Wilbur (Ipswich, Mass.) named to the 2009 Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) Crew All-America Team, while junior Jesse Kirkland (Warwick, Bermuda) and sophomore Michael Menninger (Newport Beach, Calif.) were selected to the ICSA Coed Skippers All-America Team.

This is Kirkland's third consecutive All-America selection, while Kirkland, Menninger, and Wilbur all received All-Middle Atlantic Intercollegiate Sailing Association (MAISA) laurels earlier this season.

Menninger Kirkland St. Mary's ended the 2008-09 sailing campaign on a high note by capturing the program's third ICSA/Gill Coed Dinghy National Championship on June 3.  The Seahawks finished second at ICSA/APS Team Racing National Championship (May 29-31) and sixth at the ICSA Women's National Championship (May 25-27).
