Chris O'Donnell swam for Ken Berg at Robert E. Fitch High School, where O'Donnell placed in the Connecticut State Open Swimming Championships and served as team captain.  He helped the Falcons to the Eastern Connecticut Conference (ECC) Championship in 2007 and holds an ECC record in the 200 free relay. O'Donnell was also a member of the National Honor Society.
