St. Mary's Men's Cross Country Runs at DeSales Invitational
Center Valley, Pa. – The Seahawks of St. Mary's College of Maryland turned in solid finishes Saturday at the DeSales University Invitational, finishing as a team 25th out of 45 schools.
First-year David Kersey (Davidsonville, Md./South River) finished the 5-mile course in 28:54.41 to place 125th out of 448 runners and tops on the day for the Seahawks. Sophomore Matt Bennett (Scaggsville, Md./Reservoir) and junior Nick Pasko (Bel Air, Md./Calvert Hall College) finished 160th and 202nd, turning in times of 29:19.15 and 29:45.56, respectively.
Rounding out the St. Mary's finishes were first-years Collin Hickey (226th, 30:09.25) and Toby Hall (253rd, 30:27.88).
St. Mary's will travel to Pennsylvania again next Saturday, October 15 to compete in the Gettysburg College Invitational. Race starts at 11:00 am.
