St. Mary's Men's Cross Country Recognized for Academic Excellence
New Orleans, La. – One hundred and twenty-five NCAA Division III men's cross country teams earned All-Academic Cross Country status from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association and St. Mary's College of Maryland was one of those teams recognized.
St. Mary's was one of four Capital Athletic Conference institutions recognized as Hood College, Salisbury University and York College of Pennsylvania also garnered All-Academic Cross Country status.
To qualify as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Cross Country Team, the team must have had a cumulative team GPA of 3.10 or better and have compiled a score (finished at least five runners) at their respective NCAA regional championship.
The Seahawks notched a team GPA of 3.25 through the fall semester and finished 31st at the NCAA Mideast Regional with sophomore team captain Nick Pasko (Bel Air, Md./Calvert Hall) leading the St. Mary's five.
