Salisbury, Md. – Sophomore captain Nick Pasko (Bel Air, Md./Calvert Hall College) led the St. Mary's College of Maryland men's cross country team to a fourth-place finish at the 2010 Capital Athletic Conference championships hosted by Salisbury University Saturday.  This is the second consecutive season that the Seahawks have finished fourth at the CAC championships.

Pasko missed an all-conference selection by two spots as the top 15 finishers earn All-CAC honors.  He finished the 8,000-meter course in 26:42 for a 17th-place finish.

Salisbury regained its position atop of the platform with 21 points as the Sea Gulls had the first four runners to cross the finish line.  Ryan Jackson, the 2010 CAC Men's Rookie of the Year, finished first in 25:19 while Chris Barnard, the 2010 CAC Men's Runner of the Year, placed second in 25:30.

First-year Matt Bennett (Laurel, Md./Reservoir) was second for the Seahawks with a 35th-place finish in 27:39 followed nine seconds later by sophomore Dan Swain (Baltimore, Md./Calvert Hall) in 36th place.

Sophomores Joseph Santangelo (Darnestown, Md./Northwest) and Quint Frauman (Columbia, Md./Wilde Lake) rounded the top 5 finishers for St. Mary's.  Santangelo crossed the finish line in 28:37 for a 52nd-place finish while Frauman came in 57th in 28:47.
