Jason Wynn is back for his third season as an assistant on the Seahawk tennis coaching staff in 2010-11.

Wynn is a local product having graduated from Leonardtown HS in 1998, where he lettered for three years on the Raider cross country team and two on the baseball squad.  He served as a cross country team captain during his senior year.

After Leonardtown, Wynn attended Guilford College in Greensboro, N.C.  He played three years of varsity tennis and received the Quakers' Best Doubles Player Award as a senior.  In his final season at Guilford, Wynn was the No. 3 singles and No. 1 doubles player as a team captain.  He finished fifth at the 2002 ODAC Singles Tournament.

A 2002 graduate of Guilford with a bachelor's degree in physics, Wynn is back in his hometown as he currently resides in California.  Since his return, he has become a highly active member of the local tennis community, both as a player and a steward.  Wynn competes in USTA leagues and tournaments each year, volunteering also as a team captain.  In 2010, Wynn (and his partner) captured the first-ever Southern Maryland Tennis Cup crown for men's open doubles.  He also serves on the St. Mary's County Tennis Association Board of Directors, both as the organization's webmaster and current Vice President.

Before hitting the courts for practice, Wynn works as an Operations Research Analyst with the Special Communications Requirements Division of NAVAIR.
