With the lead, the Seahawks moved into singles play. In the No. 1 singles match, senior captain Mark Hardesty (Westminster, Md./Westminster) took the point handily, 6-1, 6-2, to push the Seahawks' lead to 3-1.

The No. 2 singles match ended shortly after with Clark coming out on top, winning 6-2, 6-3 and pulling the Knights within 3-2.
