St. Mary's Seahawks Celebrate 2011-12
St. Mary’s City, Md. – The St. Mary’s College of Maryland Department of Athletics and Recreation celebrated the 2011-12 academic year on Tuesday night with the annual athletics reception. Each of the Seahawks’ 17 varsity teams as well as college administrators and athletics staff attended the event.

DeBoissiere, Hedquist Lead Seahawks on All-CAC Men's Swimming Team
York, Pa. – Juniors Billy DeBoissiere and Cameron Hedquist were two of six St. Mary’s College of Maryland men’s swimmers named to the 2012 All-Capital Athletic Conference Men’s Swim Team as announced Wednesday afternoon by league commissioner, Tom Byrnes.

St. Mary's Men's Swimming Finishes Second at 2012 CAC Championship Meet
St. Mary’s City, Md. – The St. Mary’s College of Maryland men’s swim team snapped its three-year long streak of finishing third at the Capital Athletic Conference Men’s and Women’s Swimming Championships with the Seahawks’ second-place finish at this year’s championship meet as competition wrapped up Sunday night. This is the first time since 2002 that St. Mary’s has finished second at CACs.

Seahawk Men's Swimming Collects Two Records to Remain Second at CACs
St. Mary’s City, Md. – The St. Mary’s College of Maryland men’s swim team registered a pair of school records in the 100 backstroke and the 200 medley relay on the second day of the 2012 Capital Athletic Conference Men’s and Women’s Swimming Championships, knocking off two of the oldest Seahawk records on the board.

Hedquist Sets Two School Records as St. Mary's Men's Swimming Opens up CAC Meet
St. Mary’s City, Md. – Junior Cameron Hedquist, the reigning Capital Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year, was part of two school records as the 2012 CAC Men’s and Women’s Swimming Championships got underway Friday at St. Mary’s College of Maryland.

Hedquist Claims January Athlete of the Month Award
St. Mary’s City, Md. – For the third consecutive month, a St. Mary’s College of Maryland swimmer has been named Athlete of the Month. This time, it was Cameron Hedquist of the Seahawk men’s swim team picking up the honor for the month of January as voted on by St. Mary’s Department of Athletics & Recreation. This is Hedquist’s second career selection.

St. Mary's Swimming to Host 2012 CAC Championships
St. Mary’s City, Md. – The Aquatics Center at the Michael P. O’Brien Athletics & Recreation Center will serve as the host pool for the 2012 Capital Athletic Conference Men’s and Women’s Swimming Championships on February 17-19. The 2012 championships mark the seventh time that St. Mary’s College of Maryland has served as the host institution after successfully hosting the 2006 CACs.

St. Mary's Men's Swimming Claims Share of CAC Regular-Season Title
With their 126-79 victory at Salisbury University Saturday afternoon, the St. Mary’s College of Maryland men’s swim team finished in a three-way tie for first in the Capital Athletic Conference standings and a portion of the CAC regular-season title with a 5-1 league record.

Junior captain Billy DeBoissiere and sophomore Thor Petersen each won an event as the St. Mary’s College of Maryland men’s swim team (11-3) dropped a 117-73 decision at No. 5 Johns Hopkins University (5-0) Friday afternoon in non-conference action.

The St. Mary’s College of Maryland men’s swim team improved to 11-2 (4-1 CAC) on the season as the Seahawks posted a 167-21 win over Frostburg State University but dropped a 124-81 decision to the University of Mary Washington in a Capital Athletic Conference double dual meet Friday afternoon.

Billy DeBoissiere of the St. Mary’s College of Maryland men’s swim team was the unanimous selection for November Athlete of the Month by the Department of Athletics & Recreation after leading the Seahawks to their best start ever and to the top of the Capital Athletic Conference standings.

Junior captain Billy DeBoissiere recorded another individual win in the final day of competition at the two-day Franklin & Marshall College Invitational as the St. Mary’s College of Maryland men’s swim team finished fifth in the team standings with 381 points.

Junior captain Billy DeBoissiere nabbed two first-place finishes during the first day of competition of the two-day Franklin & Marshall College Invitational as the St. Mary’s College of Maryland men’s swim team are currently fifth in the team standings with 268 points through 12 events.

The St. Mary’s College of Maryland men’s swim team set three York College Natatorium records Saturday afternoon en route to a 2-1 record at the quad meet hosted by York College of Pennsylvania. The Seahawks (8-1, 3-0 CAC) notched wins over Susquehanna University (123-77) and Capital Athletic Conference opponent, York (114-90), before dropping a 117-87 decision to Dickinson College.
