Field Hockey Recognized for Excellence off the Field
The St. Mary’s College of Maryland field hockey team was one of 95 NCAA Division III programs recognized by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association for earning a team GPA of 3.0 or higher during the 2009 campaign.

Parker Tabbed CAC Rookie of the Year; Skiest, Puzak Named All-CAC
St. Mary’s College of Maryland’s Lauriann Parker was voted as the 2009 Capital Athletic Conference Field Hockey Rookie of the Year as conference commissioner, Tom Byrnes, released this year’s All-CAC selections Thursday afternoon. Parker became the first-ever Seahawk to earn rookie of the year since the award’s inception in 1997.
