2006: NFHCA Academic Team ... CAC All-Academic Team ... played in five games.

Broadneck HS: Earned All-Anne Arundel County First Team honors as selected by the county coaches, The Capital, The Baltimore Sun, and The Washington Post in 2005 ... had seven defensive saves, one goal and one assist as a senior ... senior team captain ... defensive MVP in 2003 and 2005 ... two-year member of the National Honor Society.

Personal: Julia Patricia Puzak ... Dean's List (Fall 2006) ... studied aboard in Ecuador (Spring 2009) ... president of the St. Mary's Puzzle Club ... born September 12, 1988 in Annapolis, Md. ... daughter of Peter and Patty Puzak ... has two siblings named Christine and Melissa ... her sister, Melissa '07, was a four-year letterwinner for both the St. Mary's field hockey and lacrosse teams.

Why did Puzak choose St. Mary's?: "I knew that I wanted to play field hockey in college so I chose a smaller school that I would have a better chance of playing at.  Whenever I visited my older sister, Melissa, I always enjoyed myself.  After I talked with Megan Block [former Seahawk field hockey coach], I knew St. Mary's was the place for me.  Also, I thought I wanted to major in biology and St. Mary's has such a strong biology program I thought it would be a good fit for me academically as well."
