The Seahawks regained the upper hand with back-to-back two-run innings in the sixth and seventh innings for an 8-7 lead. Senior outfielder Matt Holdefer's (Columbia, Md./Wilde Lake) two-run, two-out homer highlighted sixth-inning action while a two-run double by junior catcher Connor Goodie (Rising Sun, Md./Rising Sun) was the big hit in the seventh.

Randolph-Macon broke the game open with a five-run seventh inning, scoring five on five hits with two left on. Senior pitcher JT Williamson (Springfield, Va./West Springfield) opened up the eighth with back-to-back outs before giving up a walk, a single, and hitting Goodie to load the bases. Williamson got out of the jam with a strikeout. Williamson then retired the side in order in the ninth to seal the win.
