St. Mary’s Baseball Season-Opener Put on Hold

St. Mary's City, Md. - The St. Mary's College of Maryland baseball team will have to do some more waiting before the Seahawks can kick off the 2010 campaign as the snow that has carpeted much of the East Coast continues to hold the Hawk's Nest hostage.

The Seahawks scheduled home- and season-opener for Saturday, February 6 against Randolph-Macon College has been postponed indefinitely.  Both parties are hoping to reschedule the contest for some time in April.

St. Mary's will hope to play its season-opener next Wednesday, February 10 at 2:30 pm at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Va.
