St. Mary’s Announces Several Spring Schedule Changes

St. Mary's City, Md. - The spring sports at St. Mary's College of Maryland continue to wait for the snow to melt and the fields to dry and as a result, the spring coaches have had to rework their 2010 schedules.

BASEBALL: Head coach Lew Jenkins announced that tomorrow's single, nine-inning game at Salisbury University has been postponed to Sunday, February 28 at 12:00 pm.  Coach Jenkins also mentioned a venue change for Saturday's doubleheader with Salisbury.  Instead of the doubleheader being played here at the Hawk's Nest, those games have been moved Salisbury's baseball field.  First pitch is set for 12:00 pm Saturday.

St. Mary's non-conference game with Gettysburg College that was originally scheduled for Sunday has been cancelled and most likely will not be rescheduled.

MEN'S LACROSSE: Head coach Chris Hasbrouck announced that Saturday's neutral-site contest with Dickinson College at Bullis School (Potomac, Md.) has been moved up from 1:00 pm to 11:30 am.

WOMEN'S LACROSSE: Head coach Kara Reber announced that tomorrow's conference- and season-opener at Wesley College has been postponed to Thursday, February 25 at 4:00 pm.

Coach Reber said as well that the Seahawks' contest with Marymount (Va.) University will be played at the Maryland SoccerPlex (Field 18) at the Germantown Recreational Park in Boyds, Md. on April 7 at 3:00 pm.
