SAAB

The Student Athlete Advisory Board (SAAB) is an organization of student-athletes that strives to improve the undergraduate experience for student-athletes through a variety of initiatives. These include so-called SAAB Game Days, in which athletes from every St. Mary's team turn out and cheer for the team or teams in action that day. SAAB helps in the effort to encourage support throughout the entire student body as well.

SAAB has also been involved with the Christmas in April Housing Project. In 2000 it supported the project's fundraising auction by donating its services as an auction item. It also organized a "Weekend Works" project in which a group of student-athletes gave something back to the community by helping to paint and repair the home of a local family.

The board itself is made up of two athletes from each varsity sport, aided by leading members of the St. Mary's Athletic Department.
