Get Ready to Run, Bike, and Swim… Again!

St. Mary's City, Md. – Tom Fisher, director of the Michael P. O'Brien Athletics & Recreation Center at St. Mary's College of Maryland, is proud to announce the return of two racing events in the heart of St. Mary's City in April and May of 2018. A portion of the proceeds from both events will be donated to the Seahawk men's and women's cross country teams.

Fisher stated, "I am proud of the partnerships that have continued with Rip It Events and Kinetic Multisports to host the St. Mary's 10-Miler and the St. Mary's Triathlon Festival. After two years of hosting a half marathon, Rip It Events modified the race to a 10-Miler for 2018 with the hope of increasing participation levels. Kinetic Multisports is looking to duplicate the 2017 event that attracted 650 triathletes for the inaugural event. Both events serve as a crucial fundraiser for the men's and women's cross country programs. In addition, I serve as an 'ambassador' for both companies trying to increase the visibility of their respective races."

2018 St. Mary's 10-Miler & 5K – April 29: Run through Maryland's first colonial capital and North America's best preserved English colonial archaeological site. The St. Mary's 10 Miler is appropriate for all experience levels including first-timers. A 5K race will follow after the start of the 10 miler.
