1st Annual VTSMTS St. Mary's International & Sprint Triathlon Festival – June 17
St. Mary's cross country has teamed up with the Virginia-Maryland Triathlon Series to put on the inaugural St. Mary's Triathlon Festival featuring international and sprint triathlons.
- St. Mary's International Triathlon – You will love the beautiful swim venue, smooth low traffic roads for the bike course and partially shaded low traffic run course. The swim course is a 1,500-meter rectangular course in a sheltered cove on the St. Mary's River while the bike course (24.5 miles) is very fast and mostly flat with the exception of a small hill done in the first mile going past the swim venue. The International run course (10K) is an out and back with a loop at the turn around that is done twice to get the proper distance. The course will have full sun for the first and last mile while the remainder is heavily shaded.
- St. Mary's Sprint Triathlon – The swim course is a 750-meter rectangular course in a sheltered cove on the St. Mary's River while the bike course is 12 miles and the run course is 1.55 miles out and back to the finish line.
