York, Pa. – Capital Athletic Conference Assistant Commissioner Tim Mowrer announced Friday morning that a record 1,500 student-athletes were named to the conference’s 2016-17 All-Academic Team, an average of 150 student-athletes per full-member institution.

Student-Athlete Advisory Committee leaders from around the Capital Athletic Conference convened at St. Mary’s College of Maryland on February 10 for a community service event and the organizations’ bi-annual meeting.
Representatives from all 10 CAC schools were in attendance, helping local homeless shelters by making blankets and providing services at Three Oaks Center.
Following the community service event, the SAAC then came together for a meeting, where student-athletes had an opportunity to learn more about the CAC, discuss the recent legislation from the 2017 NCAA convention, and share ideas and initiatives that their institutional SAACs put together on their own campuses.
