St. Mary's Seahawks Celebrate 2011-12
St. Mary’s City, Md. – The St. Mary’s College of Maryland Department of Athletics and Recreation celebrated the 2011-12 academic year on Tuesday night with the annual athletics reception. Each of the Seahawks’ 17 varsity teams as well as college administrators and athletics staff attended the event.

The St. Mary’s College of Maryland Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) was one of four institutional SAAC groups to help the Capital Athletic Conference SAAC donate more than two tons of food for the second straight year to local food banks in time for the holiday season.

Veteran's Day will be the start of the St. Mary's College of Maryland Student-Athlete Advisory Committee-sponsored Food Drive to benefit the food pantry at St. Cecilia's Church of St. Mary's City. The food drive will run from Friday, November 11 through Sunday, November 20.
