156 St. Mary's Student-Athletes Honored as CAC All-Academic Team Members
St. Mary’s College of Maryland led the Capital Athletic Conference for the fourth consecutive year with 50.6 percent of its student-athletes earning a berth on the 2010-11 CAC All-Academic Team as announced by CAC commissioner, Tom Byrnes, Thursday afternoon.

St. Mary's Athletic Department Concludes 2010-11 with Annual Awards
The St. Mary’s College of Maryland Department of Athletics and Recreation announced the winners of the annual end of the year awards Monday night. This year’s winners will be honored during the four showings of the 2010-11 athletic highlight video produced by seniors Adam Shenk and Alex Franz.

Thirty Inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma
This past Friday (April 29), the St. Mary’s College of Maryland Department of Athletics and Recreation inducted 30 of its student-athletes into the Maryland Beta Chapter of Chi Alpha Sigma, the national college athlete honor society. This year’s ceremony was held at Daugherty-Palmer Commons on campus.

The 2nd Annual Hawktober Festival Golf Tournament on Friday, October 1 will jumpstart the festivities for the Fourth Annual Hawktober Festival at St. Marys College of Maryland. Seahawk Athletes Facilitate Move In for New Students
Yesterday was a day of mixed emotions for parents as they dropped off their sons and daughters for the first time on the campus of St. Marys College of Maryland. However, members of the Seahawk fall varsity sport teams were on hand to ease some of the burden by helping at New Student Move-In Thursday.

Seahawks Welcome Two New Athletic Trainers
Jim Cranmer, St. Marys College of Maryland head athletic trainer and compliance coordinator, is pleased to announce the hiring of Dena Bissell and Stephanie Guzzo as assistant athletic trainers. The two new trainers will fill the vacancies left by Sarah Tipsword and Jessica Pope who both left to pursue other career opportunities.
