Lauren Carrier

St. Mary's City, Md. - Lauren Carrier (Crownsville, Md.), a member of the St. Mary's College of Maryland women's lacrosse team, picked up the final 2008-09 St. Mary's Athlete of the Month selection as Carrier received the honor for the month of April as voted on by the Department of Athletics and Recreation.  The senior captain led the Seahawks to a 3-2 record (2-1 CAC) in the month of April.

Carrier tallied a season-high six goals in a 16-9 win over Stevenson University.  She then matched a career-best with four assists and notched a season-high eight points in a Capital Athletic Conference semifinal loss.

She became the school's all-time leader in goals (246) and points (311) with her five-point, one-assist performance in a 14-9 victory over Christopher Newport University.

The Old Mill HS product also registered 12 draw controls, 10 ground balls and six caused turnovers and finished with 21 goals and seven assists in five games to lead St. Mary's in scoring, ground balls and caused turnovers.
